JustPDF ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data when you use our website at justpdf.app.

Your Files Stay on Your Device

The core principle of JustPDF is that your files never leave your browser. All PDF processing — merging, splitting, compressing, converting, rotating, signing, and OCR — happens entirely on your device using client-side JavaScript. We never upload, store, or have access to your files.

Chat with PDF (AI Feature)

When you use the "Chat with PDF" feature, the text content of your PDF is extracted in your browser and sent to an AI service (Anthropic Claude) to answer your question. The AI service processes your question and returns an answer. The text is not stored permanently and is not used for model training.

Account Information

If you create an account (required only for Pro subscriptions), we collect your email address and authentication credentials through Firebase Authentication (Google). We use this solely to manage your account and subscription.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see, store, or have access to your credit card numbers or banking details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.

Cookies and Analytics

We use localStorage to track your daily free usage count (3 operations per day). We use Google Analytics to understand how our tools are used (page views, tool usage patterns). Google Analytics may use cookies. We do not track the content of your files. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. We do not sell or share any data with third parties.

Data Retention

Since we don't store your files, there is nothing to retain or delete. Account information is retained as long as your account is active. You can request account deletion by contacting us.
